After twelve years at 51 Bank Street, Taylor Design has moved its studio a block west to 247 Main Street in Stamford. Our new office is above Market Restaurant and across the street from the city’s Columbus Park. Partnering with Culpen & Woods Architects, we took advantage of the building’s exposed brick walls, structural iron beams, and wood ceiling to create a workspace that is open, efficient, and collaborative. Come visit sometime!

On March 25th, Hannah Fichandler, Senior Art Director at Taylor Design, and Suzanne Gray, Associate Director of Creative Projects at Sarah Lawrence College, will be presenting at the CASE Editors Forum in Boston. They will explore the foundations of a successful redesign process, using the redesign of Sarah Lawrence magazine—the 2009 CASE grand gold winner for periodical design. To be discussed: when and why to redesign; how to evaluate a magazine’s personality, structure and function; how to build a cohesive and flexible design; and how to navigate the politics of creating buy-in and securing approvals on campus. The Editors Forum conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Boston, MA, from March 24 – 26, 2010. (More Info)
