Keep America Beautiful, Inc. is the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. With a network of nearly 1,000 affiliate and participating organizations, KAB forms public-private partnerships and programs to engage communities in environmental responsibility. Yet even with a popular cause and an impressive track record, KAB knew it couldn’t rest on past success. It’s important to always keep things fresh. Over the past ten years, Taylor Design has partnered with KAB to produce microsites, affiliate publications, annual reports and a host of special projects that do just that. Because recycled marketing efforts would simply be a waste.

The Cleveland Institute of Art has earned a reputation of excellence, consistently ranked among the top ten professional colleges of art and design in the country. It attracts students who are serious about becoming professional artists and designers, and who demand an intellectually stimulating and artistically challenging experience. Taylor Design joined with educational consultant Keating Associates to create a dialogue with these driven visual artists. The resulting admissions marketing program, including viewbook, academic communications and college fair sales tools, promotes conversation and inquiry on the immersive, experimental nature of the CIA experience. Because when you are competing to be heard, sometimes the best thing to do is listen.

Holy Family University

Holy Family University, a Catholic liberal arts university in Philadelphia, asked educational consultant Keating Associates to team with Taylor Design to transform the University’s image. Known as an academically challenging, residential school, it struggled to attract more male and out-of-state students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Taylor Design created a new visual identity playing up the organic strengths of the institution. This included a rich color palette—inviting to both genders—as well as flexible design elements, straightforward writing, and engaging photography across all media. The lesson: be genuine—it’s often your best marketing asset. And in the case of Holy Family, the key to success.
