A Poster a Day

When Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th, it triggered Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II and has caused the senseless deaths of thousands of soldiers and civilians alike. Watching the war unfold on your phone is unbelievably disheartening and the feeling of powerlessness to change the course of this horrific war is paralyzing. One designer found an outlet for his rage. A native Ukrainian currently living in Slovakia, Mykola Kovalenko has made it his mission to create a poster each day, which he posts on Instagram. Graphic, clever, and powerful, his posters express the fury of his fellow Ukrainians and presage a hopeful peace in the near future. Keep it up Mykola.
