2019 Stamford Boys & Girls Club 5K

The 2019 Stamford Boys & Girls Club 5K attracted over 2,000 runners. Our team this year included (from left to right) Dan Taylor, Steve Habersang, Connie Tao, Iris Tao, Cindy Lau, and Hannah Fichandler. Chris Taylor, who photographed this image, also ran with us. Over $200,000 were raised to benefit the Stamford Boys & Girls Club.

Space Invasion 2019

Steve Habersang and Cindy Lau’s fun and colorful concept “Rocket Pop!” was selected for Stamford Downtown’s 2019 Space Invasion outdoor sculpture exhibit. They have been hard at work on their 8-foot tall sculpture in a studio space on Atlantic Street. It goes on display for the summer the first week of June. At the end of the exhibit, the spacecraft will be sold at auction with proceeds benefitting the Veterans Park Initiative.

Fishery Client Featured in the New York Times

Our client Hudson Valley Fisheries was profiled in The New York Times on March 18th. Their signature product, New York Steelhead, is farmed in an indoor facility and raised without hormones or antibiotics. Our design and interactive team of Hannah Fichandler and Chris Yerkes created the company’s new logo, brand style, and website.  Website content written by Heidi Raker of RG Narrative. Client Featured in the New York Times

Our client Green Chimneys was profiled in The New York Times on March 1st. A school for special-needs children located in Putnam County, N.Y., Green Chimneys pioneered the idea that emotionally challenged children could gain confidence and become socially adept by caring for animals. Talking Business on WSHU

Nora was a panelist on WSHU’s “The Full Story” on January 28 along with Joe McGee, Vice President, Public Policy and Programs at The Business Council of Fairfield County; Cindi Bigelow, President and CEO of Bigelow Tea; and Eric Gjede, Vice President for Government Affairs with CBIA. With Governor Ned Lamont taking the helm this month, host Ron Ropiak asked the guests to provide the incoming government officials and listeners with ideas for improving the state’s business climate. “The Full Story” runs live Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. on WSHU News-Talk stations and via streaming.

Connecticut graphic design students are invited to participate in this year’s Emerging Professionals Workshop on February 23rd at the University of New Haven. Along with other AIGA board members, Dan has pulled together a full day of discussions, presentations, and portfolio reviews. Our designers Cindy and Iris will serve as portfolio reviewers. Brand Featured in The New York Times

Our client Ideal Fish was profiled in The New York Times on November 20th. A recirculating salt water aquaculture company, Ideal Fish raises European sea bass in a former ballistics factory in Waterbury, CT. Hosting Studio Socials at Our Studio

The Connecticut Art Directors Club kicked off its Studio Socials series at Taylor Design on February 21st. A gathering of over fifty people swapped stories, talked shop, drank beer, and saw a presentation of some of our recent work. Our colleague Bria is a CADC board member and spearheaded this new initiative.
