Really Good Logos Explained

A logo that Taylor Design developed for Cincinnati-based retailer Marble Hill Chocolatier was selected to be included in the new book “Really Good Logos Explained.” The logos featured in the book are critiqued by the four contributing authors and explain what makes them work. The result is a rare and insightful glimpse inside the mind of top creatives. The book was released by Rockport Publishers in May 2008.

IABC Silver Quill Awards Competition

Taylor Design is an award winner in the 2008 IABC Silver Quill Awards Competition. The EDR website was honored in the Interactive Media Design category. The award will be presented at the Fall 2008 IABC regional conference in Hartford, CT on October 12, 2008.

American Corporate Identity Awards Competition

Taylor Design received four awards in the 2008 American Corporate Identity Awards Competition. The firm won for the 2007 Keep America Beautiful Annual Report, the American Express Great Achievers Logo, the Biowave Packaging System, and the Stamford Center for the Arts Marketing Program.

Admissions Marketing Competition

Taylor Design, with partner Keating Associates, won eight awards at the 23rd annual Admissions Marketing Report Competition. The Gold awards include the Merrimack College “Discover” Micro-Website, the Holy Family University Advertising Campaign, Sacred Heart University’s 2006 Annual Report, and the Convent of the Sacred Heart (Greenwich) Advertising Campaign. We also received a Bronze award for the St. Joseph’s College Advertising Campaign and Merit awards for the Sacred Heart University First Year Student Book, the St. Joseph’s College Admissions Viewbook, and Sacred Heart University’s “SHU Magazine.”

Website Selected for Print Magazine’s Creativity + Commerce Edition

Case Awards Competition

We received notice from the CASE (the Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Accolades Awards program that two publications developed for Sarah Lawrence College were winners in the Case District II awards. The “In Touch” publication received a gold medal and the “At SLC” publication received a silver medal. The awards will be presented at the Awards Gala on Monday, January 28, at the district’s annual professional conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
